The minute we saw how happy and how much fun these University of North Dakota sweethearts were having, we fell in love with their outdoor affair. From the doughnuts spelling out their names to the declarations of why they love each other on all of the reception tables, we wish we could have been at Nick and Nicole’s big day in Minnesota, captured by the talented Carly Loves Amos Photography!
From the bride…
Our hope going into the big day was to put on a giant celebration with the people we love the most. We went with more casual/relaxed attire and whimsical décor for the reception. We did all of the decorating ourselves (thank goodness for the best friends and families around for all the help) and sourced a lot of it from thrift stores or online. Nick and I both love sweets, so we thought it’d be fun to have donuts for dessert and (at the last minute) we decided to order some Dippin’ Dots because when you get married on an August day in a building with no A/C you need show your guests some love with a cold treat!
The entire day was strung together by so many amazing moments, but if I had to choose one I would say our first look. I was literally shaking with excitement to see my groom looking all cute on the biggest day of our lives. It was something I’ll never forget. And I know it sounds super cliché, but it literally felt like we were the only two people in the world at that moment.
