Dainty Obsessions

{Real Wedding} Rebecca + Joel

Hay bales, outdoor games, and an array of beautiful flowers made for a perfect family farm wedding in Minnesota. This laid back couple went without an official bridal party, but had plenty of love and help from friends, family, and neighbors to help set up their beautiful and quaint affair.

From the bride…

Since I was little, I always thought a wedding on our farm would be beautiful. We have a gorgeous, natural space and can host as many people as we want! For our wedding, we had people from all over the country, and we wanted a special time for people to connect, relax, and enjoy a beautiful Minnesota summer day. The ceremony was in our backyard, next to our pond with views of the fields and bluffs. My father built a lovely patio space and an arbor for us to wed under. The reception was under a tent on our yard. Flowers in wooden flower boxes to decorate the tables were done by my mother and friends of the family. Bales of hay from our pasture were covered with blankets for people to sit and chat, and lawn games were very popular. After a great meal, we had cakes in eight flavors for people to choose from. We had a square dance to start out the dancing festivities, and continued with our DJ for more dancing until we set off as sun went down!
