We were so touched by how much Amy and Adam’s love shows in this intimate shore wedding captured by Caitlin Nightingale Photography. After meeting years before in different relationships, they soon realized they wanted the same things and started their lives together with a beautiful celebration.
From the bride…
Our wedding day started off with a brunch in the dining room at Lutsen Resort, with our little group that included our parents and siblings. Then we went our separate ways, Adam to take some time to walk along the lake and reflect, and me to get all dolled up with my moms and sisters. After we all got ready, my dad and I drove separately down to the lake, where we would meet everyone else. I stood impatiently and nervously in the lobby of Lutsen Resort while everyone was placed around Paul, Adam’s brother and our officiant. Dad and I walked down to the lake and as we crossed the sand towards my future husband, I couldn’t stop smiling. The song “Book of Love,” by the Magnetic Fields played as we walked. My sister read “Having a Coke with You,” by Frank O’Hara, and my dad sang “This Must be the Place,” which has always been our song. Adam and I exchanged our vows and our rings, and we left the lake as husband and wife. Afterward, we had an intimate dinner in the Lutsen Resort dining room.
Having our parents and siblings there to support us was so important, so the fact that everyone could make it is the thing I loved the most.
When we shared our vows and only Adam, Paul, and I could hear them.
The day itself was perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing about it. It was exactly how I dreamed my dream wedding would be.
