Get to know Kaitlynne and Jordan…
How did you prepare for your engagement session?
As soon as we set a date and time for our engagement session, I started looking on Pinterest for different outfit ideas and poses that we could potentially do. We ended up with nothing we found on Pinterest and just picked our clothes the night before with what we had in our closets.
What process did you go through picking out your outfits and why did you choose certain pieces?
I (Kaitlynne) started freaking out about a week prior to the session because I had not gotten any new clothes specifically for that occasion – crazy, right?! Luckily I had a calm fiancé and a comfy sweater that went well with one of Jordan’s plaid shirts. Jordan knew he wanted to wear a vest since it was the beginning of his favorite season. I had worn that white dress just a couple of times before, like when I went wedding dress shopping! And the black sweater of Jordan’s is one of his favorites as well.
What was the day like for you?
The engagement session was on a Sunday evening, which made it pretty relaxing. We got to sleep in, eat a nice breakfast, and chill for most of the day. We were both very excited to go to Devil’s Gulch since we had not been there before. (It) was a lot of fun. We were able to be ourselves, which really made the pictures turn out well. We had a lot of laughing photos, but that is what makes it special.
Do you have any tips for those who are going to have their engagement sessions?
I would say not to stress about it. At the end of the day it was so much fun to hang out with Jordan, and our photographer, Mike, was great to work with. These sessions are just a way to show all of your friends and family how much you love each other – it shouldn’t be something to worry about.
What is your favorite part about one another?
J: My favorite part about Kaitlynne is her ability to make me laugh. I like to consider myself a very lighthearted person, but she is somehow able to pull it out of me even more. I love that we can act like fools around each other and know how to laugh at ourselves. She makes coming home at the end of the day even more enjoyable because I know we will have dinner together, watch our favorite TV shows, and lay in bed talking about our day.
K: My favorite part about Jordan is his smile. His smile is contagious and it makes it impossible to stay mad at him. He has a way of making even the darkest days bright … getting one of his great hugs, it turns it all around.
What are you most excited for in regards to your wedding day?
I (Kaitlynne) am excited to be surrounded by friends and family that love and support us. We can’t wait to see those people who we don’t get to see often. There are some friends that we haven’t seen for four years and some family members we haven’t seen for more than that. Overall, we are most excited to share our love with the people we love most.
